The Divine Comedy

A lot has happened to Neil Hannon since The Divine Comedy’s last tour. In 2020, their entire back catalogue was remastered and reissued to great acclaim. Then came Charmed Life, the career-spanning best-of, which reached the UK top 5 in 2022 and was followed by a nationwide tour.

Most recently, Neil Hannon wrote all the original songs for the 2024 global hit Wonka, which the Official Charts Company named the UK’s most popular film of the year.

Now, The Divine Comedy return to the stage in celebration of their 13th studio album, Rainy Sunday Afternoon. Released this September and recorded at Abbey Road, the album is written, arranged and produced by Neil Hannon. It is a rich and emotional work, moving through sadness, humour, anger, and reflection with characteristic elegance.

To mark the release, The Divine Comedy will tour the UK this October.
