The Forum Venue Policies

Age Policy

General Venue Age Policy

Age guidance: 14+. Under 16s to be accompanied by ticket buying 16+.

Unless otherwise stated on an individual event basis (e.g. a children’s show, comedy night etc. this will be stated on the event page).

The Forum operates a Challenge 25 policy for the purchase of alcohol from their bars.

The Forum is predominantly an evening entertainment venue for adults where alcohol is served, and music can be loud. We encourage parents/guardians to use their knowledge of the child to determine whether the event and/or environment is suitable. We strongly recommend ear protection/defenders for guests of all ages, but especially younger attendees.

If you have any questions, please call the venue on 01225 443 114.

Babes in Arms

Babes in Arms are classed as: babies you can comfortably hold for the duration of a show in your arms.

If the event is suitable for a baby, a babe in arms does not require a seat. If your child is not a babe in your arms, they will require a seat and therefore a ticket, unless otherwise stated on an individual event basis.

The Forum or its staff can never act as Loco Parentis under any circumstances.

Admission

The Forum reserves the right to refuse admission, and to request any customer/ticket holder to leave the building at any time. An instance where we might ask a customer to leave is if a ticket holder appears to be under the influence of alcohol/narcotics and/or is acting aggressively, carrying offensive weapons or illegal substances. The Forum reserves the right to refuse re-admission to any person not in possession of a ticket or the retained portion of the ticket required for re-admission.

Tickets purchased for an event at The Forum are for your personal use only. Action may be taken if a person purchasing tickets is suspected of reselling these tickets for profit, or at an inflated price. Tickets are non-transferable, and must not be resold. Tickets bought from entities that are not affiliated with the show and/or venue are likely to be resold tickets. In this case, entry cannot be guaranteed and The Forum reserves the right to refuse entry as the tickets are not from an authorised allocation. If you have any doubt about the validity of tickets you are intending to purchase, please contact the venue to ensure you only purchase valid tickets.

Latecomers may be admitted at a suitable point in the performance at the discretion of the Front of House Manager.
